  • KC Farm School 4223 Gibbs Road Kansas City, KS, 66106 United States (map)

Want to integrate bees into your farm or growing practices? Dr. Pierson and her team at MO Hives KC will share essential information, instructions, and equipment/supplies you'll need to get started as well as beekeeping resources and opportunities to engage with the beekeeping projects in our area.

This is the first of a two-part program, with our second event in March where we'll tour a working apiary! More details about the second event to come.

Cost & Registration:
This event is free, but registration is requested.

About the Hosts:
This event is hosted in collaboration by KC F.A.R.M.E.R.S. Coalition and MO Hives KC.

MO Hives KC puts bee hives on vacant urban lots, creating bee farms that pollinate nearby food gardens while invigorating the community with a wide range of experiential learning opportunities.

KC F.A.R.M.E.R.S. (aka Kansas City Farmers and Ranchers for Mentoring, Education, and Resource Sharing) Coalition is a project led by KC Farm School at Gibbs Road and Kansas City Black Urban Growers Inc. (KC BUGs). It was developed with seasoned growers and ranchers to provide support, community, and hands-on education for aspiring and new growers and ranchers across the Kansas City region and to transition/preserve farmland for the coming generations.

We are grateful to the team of established farmers and partner organizations that have committed to helping guide this project. If you have questions about this event or coalition in general, please reach out to anyone on our team, including:
