Plan Your Field Trip to the Farm

We offer year-round field trips for youth of all ages and abilities to learn about regenerative agriculture hands-on with curriculum opportunities linking the farm to state and national education standards in STEAM, the arts, nutrition and more. Visitors will do exactly what our farmers do every day! From planting seeds, building soil, harvesting potatoes to tending the chickens, your field trip will be centered around the seasons and rhythm of the work we are doing at KC Farm School.

We recommend a maximum group size of 25 youth, with 2 adult teachers or chaperones for every 10 youth participants to ensure all visitors can be engaged and have a safe, enjoyable experience.

A field trip experience includes a one and a half hour visit to the farm led by our Education Coordinator team. To extend your stay to include lunch or other experiences, please reach out to our team in advance. The contact information is included in the booking links below.

Thanks to generous funding from the USDA, Shumaker Foundation, and NRCS, field trips to the farm are free! We always appreciate donations but want to make sure that cost does not limit a young person’s opportunity to get on-farm, hands-on.
