2025 Workshops

We are honored to collaborate with local farmers, community educators, organizations and businesses to host numerous workshops this year. We offer many other opportunities to learn and build community through our co-leadership in the KC F.A.R.M.E.R.S Coalition, our Let’s Grow Wyandotte! program and at our on-farm farmers market. Check out those pages too to see what we’ve got going on this year, and if you have an idea or want to participate in our workshops let us know at info@kcfarmschool.org

By popular demand, we are hosting TWO day-long Community Workshops this year!

SAVE THE DATES: April 26 and November 8

We believe in the power of hands-on education to build resilient communities and sustainable futures. Our 5th Annual Community Workshop series will bring together individuals of all ages to explore the skills, knowledge, and connections that foster self-reliance and environmental stewardship.

This year’s community workshops will bigger and better than ever!
With a mix of beloved favorites and exciting new activities, you will dive into urban homesteading workshops led by local experts. From beekeeping to backyard chickens, baking bread, making cheese, candle crafting, herbalism, and straw bale gardening, this event is about equipping our community with practical skills while celebrating creativity and sustainability. The exact topics offered this year are to be determined because they vary each year based on community input. Keep checking back here to see the lineup for the Spring Community Workshop by mid-February.

Our Community Workshops are open to all ages and will be accessible through a Pay What You’re Able model.

We can hardly wait for market season! As you know, we are either planning or actively growing nutrient-dense, beyond-organic food for you year-round and we always look forward to May when we can more actively share that food with you through our CSA and at our on-farm farmers market! This year, we are adding weekly fun activities at market to make your experience even better than ever! Keep checking back here for details about workshop offerings at market but for now, dream about cookalongs, bike rides, hands-on farming demos, youth activities, learn-a-longs and much, much more!
