Urban Apiary Tour + Work & Learn with MO Hives C

  • MO Hives KC 5030 Wabash Avenue Kansas City, MO, 64130 United States (map)

Join us for a hands-on Urban Apiary Tour + Work & Learn event, where we’ll be helping Mo Hives KC prepare for their incoming bee packages. This is a unique opportunity to get up close with urban beekeeping, learn about hive components, and participate in hands-on work that supports local pollinators.

  • Bee Hive Prep – Unpack and assemble hive bodies, ensuring they're ready for their new residents

  • Opening a Hive – Observe the fascinating inner workings of a hive

  • Site Selection – Understand where and how to place hives for success

  • Honey Tasting – Sample fresh honey in the GEHA Garden-to-Table Test Kitchen

  • Potluck Snacks – Bring a snack to share
